Our Faith

What We Believe

We are Apostolic – which means we believe and practice the same gospel the apostles preached in the book of Acts. Not a newer version. The original one.

Doctrine is not a fence to keep people out. It is the foundation a whole life is built on.

We hold the Bible – the King James Version – as the final authority for everything we believe and do. What follows is not our opinion or our tradition. It is what the Scriptures plainly teach, and what the early church plainly lived.

The Bible Is the Inspired Word of God

We believe the Bible (King James Version) is the inspired, infallible, and complete Word of God – given by the Holy Ghost and sufficient for faith and life. We do not add to it, and we do not explain it away.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

One God, Revealed in Jesus Christ

We believe there is one God – not three persons, but one. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not three separate beings; they are the ways the one true God has revealed Himself: as Father in creation, as Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost in the church. That one God is fully revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” – Deuteronomy 6:4 (KJV)

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” – Colossians 2:9 (KJV)

When you have seen Jesus, you have seen the Father (John 14:9). His name is the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Repentance

We believe salvation begins with genuine repentance – a turning away from sin and a turning toward God. It is more than regret; it is a decision that changes the direction of a life.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” – Acts 3:19 (KJV)

Baptism in Jesus’ Name

We baptize believers by full immersion in water, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins – exactly as the apostles did throughout the book of Acts. This is not a denominational preference; it is the apostolic pattern.

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…” – Acts 2:38 (KJV)

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” – Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

The Infilling of the Holy Ghost

We believe that to be born again a person must receive the gift of the Holy Ghost – God’s Spirit living within. The biblical evidence of this infilling is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, just as it happened on the Day of Pentecost and everywhere the gospel spread.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” – Acts 2:4 (KJV)

“Jesus answered… Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” – John 3:5 (KJV)

A Life of Holiness

We believe that the God who saves us also calls us to live differently – set apart, inwardly and outwardly, for Him. Holiness is not a way to earn salvation; it is the natural life of a person who has truly been changed by the Spirit of God.

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” – Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.” – 1 Peter 1:15 (KJV)
