A community of people who have been changed by the Spirit of God – and who want to see Conyers changed too.

Our Story

Built on the Apostles’ doctrine

Conyers Apostolic Church exists for one reason: so that the people of Conyers and the communities around it can hear the full, unedited gospel and be filled with the Holy Ghost. We are not interested in being a religious club or a Sunday routine. We want changed lives.

From the beginning, this church has held to the same pattern the first believers followed in the book of Acts – repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Everything we do flows out of that: the preaching, the prayer, the open doors, the Bible studies in living rooms across this county.

You will find us plain about what we believe and warm toward everyone who walks in. Come as you are. God has a way of not leaving people that way.

Apostolic Doctrine

We preach what the apostles preached – one God revealed in Jesus Christ, and the new-birth message of Acts 2:38. No additions, no apologies.

Pentecostal Experience

We expect God to move. The same Holy Ghost that filled the church at Pentecost still fills hungry hearts today – and we have seen it again and again.

Holiness Lifestyle

A changed heart shows up in a changed life. We pursue holiness – inside and out – not to earn God’s love, but because we have received it.

Pastor J. Gabriel Alvear

Pastor J. Gabriel Alvear leads Conyers Apostolic Church with a deep conviction that the Apostolic gospel still changes lives today exactly as it did in the book of Acts. His heart is for sound teaching, Spirit-filled worship, and people – meeting them where they are and walking with them into all God has for them.
